Adult Faith Formation

Ephesians 4:11-14

God is 'ever ancient and ever new.' Thus, there is a need for constant formation in our lives. Allowing the Holy Spirit to mold us into Saints is the hallmark of lived Catholicism. The Church gives us her primary resources of the Sacred Scriptures (Bible) and Catechism. Every Catholic home is lauded to read the Scriptures and study the Catechism of the Catholic Church, so to grow to "attain the unity of the Faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to maturity, to the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ (Eph.4:13)." St. Patrick's Parish and St. Frassati Newman House are happily working to help supplement your formation with various encounter opportunities, studies, and fellowship.

Formation Opportunities

Gather to the Well

The St. Patrick's Parish young adult group meets regularly for study and fellowship, with child care provided. On the third Thursday of the month, at 5:30pm the group dives deeper into the Book of Wisdom (2025-2026); while on the first Saturday of the month at 6:30pm they enjoy a deeper sense of family fellowship. All young adults are welcome any time.

St. Frassati Newman Center

The Catholic Church's apostolate to Chadron State College, St. Frassati Newman Center, remains very active. Newman offers fellowship nights, Exposition of Jesus, a Daily Mass, Bible Studies, women's group, men's group, service opportunities, mission trips, retreats, pilgrimages, and more. If you are at CSC, planning to attend CSC, or looking to support this vital Apostolic work, please visit the St. Frassati Newman page or contact us today.

Spiritual Summer Series

During the summer months, the Parish has the opportunity to listen to various presentations on the Church's Doctrine, Faith, Scripture, and history. The presentations are offered in the Scholasticum, following the Sunday Holy Mass. Further information will be available closer to the summer of 2026

Catechetical Studies

The Parish is currently working to bring a Catechetical study to the community. If you are interested in helping this ministry reach souls, please contact the Office.

Starting your very own small group study

If you would like to lead a small group Bible or Catechetical study, please speak with the Pastor. The Parish is happy to assist you with materials, invitations, and prayer. If you would like to lead such a group, we invite you to check out the educational and formational materials provided through Ascension Press and contact the Pastor for increased support.

Courage & Encourager

Exodus 90 is a powerful journey to becoming a real man, a warrior for God who knows how to lead the family. "The main reason men make an Exodus is this: they want to grow closer to God, their spouse, children, and friends.  If E90 is too much for you right now, try Lent/Advent 40.
